Strengthening Families is a way of bringing together all the people and agencies who work together to make sure families get all the services they need. Strengthening Families provides a way for families to get co-ordinated access to services. It is run in a way that meets the unique needs of each family / whānau. MINISTRY OF VULNERABLE CHILDREN ORANGA TAMARIKI (MVCOT)
There are a number of reasons why we might become involved in a child's life. Usually it’s because someone gets in touch with us because they’re worried about the wellbeing of a child or young person they know. Sometimes it’s because there’s been an incident or emergency where the police have been involved. Whatever the reason, we focus first and foremost on the needs of the child or young person. We work together with families and whānau to resolve any issues, and ensure whānau get the help and support they might need to provide a safe, stable and loving home.
