MINISTRY OF VULNERABLE CHILDREN ORANGA TAMARIKI (MVCOT)
There are a number of reasons why MVCOT might become involved in a child's life. Usually it’s because someone is worried about the wellbeing of a child or young person they know. Sometimes it’s because there’s been an incident or emergency where the police have been involved. Whatever the reason, MVCOT focus first and foremost on the needs of the child or young person. They work together with families and whānau to resolve any issues, and ensure whānau get the help and support they might need to provide a safe, stable and loving home.
