Te Aho o Te Kura  Pounamu

THE CORRESPONDENCE SCHOOL

We provide distance education for students living in New Zealand and overseas, from early childhood level through to Year 13.

You may be able to enrol with us for free if you meet certain eligibility criteria set by the Ministry of Education. Read the Ministry of Education's enrolment policy to check if you are eligible for a funded place with us.

In certain circumstances, students who don’t meet the eligibility criteria for a funded place at Te Kura may be able to enrol with us as a fee-paying student.

We also accept registrations for eligible dual students. Dual students must be registered by their home school through the Te Kura Enrolment System. The Education Act 1989 provides that students are enrolled with only one school, but allows them to be registered with other providers for specific courses. We work with schools around New Zealand to provide learning programmes for dual-enrolled students and to support students who are at risk or have special learning needs.
